by mobi2weet Admin 23. April 2010 06:40

mobi2weet on facebook!

Here you go, the step wise procedure to use our newly launched mobi2weet FB application. Hope you like the new look and get used to the interface quickly :)

Register

You’ll be required to enter your mobile number, gender and date of birth.

Then you will have to allow 4-5 permission pop ups.

Once registered, you’ll reach your wall.

Here your friends' posts will be displayed and later, when you join channels, their posts will be displayed as well.

From the text box, you can post a message to your FB wall, twitter wall and any selected channel from the drop down (only joined ones will be visible)

If you’re a twitter user, you’ll see a checkbox of Twitter as well. By checking the check boxes of Facebook/ Twitter and selecting a channel from the drop down, you can post messages on these channels by posting a single message update here.

Feature 1: Points on Profile:

You can fill out your profile and gain points! If you fill out your entire profile, you’ll get more points.

Feature 2: Facebook and Twitter Friends

Here you can see a list of your friends, both Facebook and Twitter friends. If you haven’t registered for our twitter service from the website (http://login.mobi2weet.com), then you’ll have to register from there to view Twitter friends.

Here you can turn on/off notifications of selected friends. You can also update your friends to synchronise this list with the Facebook and Twitter accounts, incase you’ve added more friends or deleted some from those accounts.

Feature 3: Increase score by Inviting Friends

You can invite your facebook friends to use mobi2weet’s facebook application. Once they join mobi2weet, they can participate in channels, which are groups on which you can communicate to the whole group with a single message to mobi2weet.

Notice the points in the next screen, after inviting some friends. In one go, you can invite 15 friends.

Feature 4: Channels

You can create a channel, which is either private or public.

Everyone can see the public channels and join them. Private channels will only be joined by the friends you invite to that channel via sms command: invgrp <groupname> <frndsNum1>, <friendsNum2>. (You can write upto 12 cell numbers to invite.) You can see your created channels in ‘My Channels’.

Channels can either be 1-way broadcast channels or 2-way communication.

1-way broadcast: Only the creator can send a message to its members, no one else can send a message on a 1-way broadcast channel.

2-way communication: Every member in a 2-way broadcast channel can send messages and it will be received as an sms by all members of that channel.

See the list of channels to join:

Click on view to see details and join the channel. To post messages on the channel, click on the channel name. You cannot post a message if you haven't joined it. By default sms notifs for channels are ON. You can turn them OFF via sms or this application, from Joined Channels> Mute.

Feature 5: Points on Polling

You can increase your score by participating in our polls.

Do let us know if you liked our new fb app and what we can do to improve it :)

Happy mobi2weeting!!

Its good to see our users participate in the activities performed by mobi2weet, we highly appreciate your interest!

As we announced recently, we're looking for volunteers to conduct the research on skin care and hair care products, just to let you all know, they will be getting credit for their efforts!

We have selected our volunteers for this research and would like to announce that they have a time of 1 week for  this research from 16th March - 22nd March 2010.

mobi2weet is soon going to increase its services further to benefit its users in more ways than it currently is. We want our users to be connected to the latest thats going on in the market for skin care and hair care and later we'll be bringing you more websites of which you can be an active part :)

How we'll award our researchers:

After a quality check on the product list that our volunteers come up with, they will be awarded with balance in their cellphones!

For a list of 50 - 100 product names and info, they will get rs. 100/- credited to their cellphones and for a count of 101 - 200 products, they'll get a balance of rs. 200/- and so on. So the more products they come up with, the more balance they get!

Your chances of participating:

You can send an email to reachout@mobi2weet.com with the subject: 'Volunteer for Product Research' and in the email mention your city.

More volunteers are welcome! You will only be considered eligible for the credit if we have acknowledged you as one of our volunteers.

Number not registered problem

by mobi2weet Admin 15. December 2009 10:43

Some of our users have been facing the problem of receiving a message "Number not registered. Please go to the mobi2weet.com and register your number". Here we'll explain why this happens. There can be several reasons for this, as follows:

1. When a user is not registered with our application and he/she sends a status message to mobi2weet. As we have two services, twitter and facebook.. some users are registered with twitter and some with facebook, and ofcourse some users enjoy the facility of both Cool

Now the problem you guys were facing was that being registered to facebook only, some of you were sending status msgs that exceeded the status char limit (160 chars). A message exceeding 160 chars, as we all know, is broken into 2 or more msgs by the service providers. One message contained the 'fb' keyword whereas the other didn't, thus being processed as a twitter status message. As a result, users who were not registered to twitter were getting the message of not being registered.

Anyhow, no worries now :) We've added a twitter keyword 'Tw' and only messages with this keyword will be processed for twitter status messages from now on.

2. If a user is registered and has mistakenly provided the wrong number to our system. (in this case the pin code has been sent to the wrong number and registration is not completed), so be careful when you provide your mobile number at the time of registration. The number should preferably be in the format 0333XXXXXXX (e.g 03218765432)

3. Some users remove our facebook application from their facebook account. In this case our application is not able to perform any operation regarding facebook. Users who have removed the application earlier and try to use mobi2weet later will get the message "You are not using facebook services yet, please go to mobi2weet.com and click register with facebook).

The simple solution for this is to register from the website again.

For more information on twitter registration, read http://blog.mobi2weet.com/post/2009/12/15/Beginners-Guide-.aspx

New features .... improved service!

by mobi2weet Admin 8. December 2009 13:42

Hi every1!
The new version of mobi2weet has been launched, try it out and let us know if you come across any glitches!
Status on fb and twitter will be updated faster and you'll receive the updates quicker too!

All five supported network numbers are now functional for all users i.e. you can send a msg to any number and will receive the update from any of these numbers, so its advisable to save them all by the name 'mobi2weet' :)
Mobilink: 03014402764
Ufone: 03314805098
Warid: 03219600395
Telenor: 03424015782
Zong: 03134353956

We now have the following features:

FB App features:
1. View and fill out detailed profile
2. View sms and invites stats
3. View a list of FB friends and turn notifications on/ off
4. View friends tags and edit tags for sending updates to their wall and replying to comments with a single short 'tag' instead of the whole username
Once you have saved tags for your friends, you can send msgs on their walls by using the command: fbd <tag> <message>

Initially, we had the  sms command 'fbon' which turned on notfications of ALL  your friends and you had no option of choosing. Now we have removed that command (users will get a msg 'obsolete command' if they send fbon). Now we have introduced tagging of your friends (assigning a tag/ nickname to them) and then turning notifs on/ off, writing on their wall etc, using that one word tag.  So now you can either tag and turn notifs on/off from the website OR use the sms commands:

1. fbtag @Friend Name @tag

eg. fbtag @Anwar Maqsood @anwar

2. fbon tag

eg. fbon anwar

3. To write on their wall, use fbd tag message

eg. fbd anwar Hi, how are you?

For more commands visit http://login.mobi2weet.com/ and see the examples.

Website Features:
1. View and fill out basic profile
2. View sms and invites stats
3. Invite feature to invite friends and get mobi pointss!!
(You also get points on inviting via cellphone using the command inv phoneNum)
4. View a list of all invited friends' numbers, see if they accepted the invite and resend the invites if not accepted
5. View a list of Twitter and FB friends and turn notifications on/ off

For reporting bug/ suggestion/ query, please use our 'Contact Us' form, find the link at the bottom of the page.

We hope to hear your feedback,
Keep mobi2weeting!!!
